BGL Rieber recently sponsored a Study Day for the Northern Branch HCA at picturesque Langley Castle, Hexham.
Presentations covered Benchmarking, Health & Well Being in NHS Retail Units, Managing Sickness in the NHS and Everybody’s Contribution Counts.
Speakers included HCA National Chair Phillip Shelley, former Chair Alison McCree (Director of Estates & Facilities County Durham & Darlington NHS Foundation Trust), Dietician Rachael Skinner (Northumberland Tyne & Wear NHS Trust), Human Resource Manager Alison Laidler (County Durham & Darlington NHS Foundation Trust) and Michael Porter (Support Worker, North Tyneside General Hospital).
The presentations ended with ‘A Day in the Life of Langley’ by Anton Phillips, General Manager, Langley Castle, followed by HCA Vice President Mike Hall who provided the introduction and the summing up of proceedings.
“The day focussed on key issues for busy healthcare professionals,” says BGL Rieber Regional Director and HCA Northern branch member Stephen Scragg.
“It was a pleasure to help organise and there was an interesting mix of presentations which were well thought out in terms of content and well appreciated by the audience.”
