Reliable holding at the point of service
In commercial kitchens, where speed, quality and consistency are essential, the final stage before service is critical. With the varithek® EST infrared warming module, Rieber expands its modular varithek® system with an efficient solution for professional hot holding in serveries and buffet environments.
The built-in warming module keeps food in GN containers consistently at serving temperature, helping kitchens maintain smooth, controlled service. Each compartment is equipped with two infrared elements, providing even, gentle heat distribution and reliably holding food at the desired temperature. The system accommodates GN containers from 20 mm to 200 mm deep, as well as thermoplates®.
Heat only when it’s needed
A key feature of the system is its automatic infrared function. The heaters activate only when a GN container is in place and switch off automatically when it is removed.
This ensures energy is used only when required, reducing unnecessary consumption and avoiding idle running costs.
Designed for seamless integration
The varithek® EST infrared module is designed for built-in installation and can be fitted into countertop cut-outs from above. This makes it ideal for modern serveries, buffets and modular kitchen concepts.
It integrates seamlessly into varithek® buffet systems or can be installed within bespoke counter designs.
Hygienic, durable and easy to use
Constructed from high-quality stainless steel (chrome-nickel), the unit offers excellent durability and hygiene. Smooth surfaces and a well-designed interior make daily cleaning quick and straightforward.
Key features include:
- A robust, self-locking front panel
- Fully insulated housing for safe operation
- Simple front-mounted controls with power regulation and selector switch
- Integrated power socket within each compartment
Conclusion
The varithek® EST infrared module provides a reliable and energy-efficient solution for professional hot holding.
It enhances food presentation and serving quality, supports consistent service delivery, and contributes to more efficient kitchen operations.
