BGL Rieber has scored a unanimous win at the Great Hospitality Show ‘Star Product Awards’ at the NEC, Birmingham.

Beating a total of 75 entries from exhibiting companies, BGL Rieber’s Thermoport Midi-K was first shortlisted to the final 12 and then unanimously awarded the top prize by three award judges, led by renowned chef Andreas Antona.
His fellow judges were FCSI UK chairman Julian Edwards and The Caterer Products and Suppliers Editor, Lisa Jenkins. All judges felt that out of the 12 shortlisted products, the Thermoport Midi-K was the most innovative, with education consultant Julian Edwards praising the quality of the Midi-K’s robust and shock-absorbing wheels in particular.
Featuring integral heating to ensure meals are kept hot over long periods and built for durability and ease of transport, the potential to use the Midi-K in a variety of settings was a ‘standout feature’ mentioned by Andreas Antona in the judges’ decision to crown Midi-K the winner.
